I can hear you laughing. "Fresh Water lobster?  Ha Ha Ha."

You may think it sounds crazy, but Never Say Never.  We here at Michigan City Lobster Company are keeping constant lookout for the extremely rare fresh water lobster.  Just because you've never seen one nor heard of the existence of one, doesn't mean that they don't exist.  The depths of our oceans and seas are great, and hide much life forms which we have never heard of.

Here at Michigan City Lobster Company, we feel that we are in the perfect location to discover those undiscovered species since Lake Michigan extends to a depth of nearly 1000 feet, with a depth of near 500 ft North of the coast of Michigan City, Indiana. . . A depth of 500 feet is considered the "twilight Zon," where other forms of crustacean, aka the Giant Spider Crab,  has been known to achieve leg spans of up to 12 feet.  We at Michigan City Lobster Company are not expecting to find a fresh water lobster of similar size, but at depths like these, one migh be surprised at what we will find

 

 

 

 

In addition to exploring the depths of Lake Michigan in the hopes of discovering an already exising Fresh Water lobster, of which we ar confident already exists, at our labs on shore we are working to create a style of Fresh Water Lobsters through genetics as ell as trying to enhance a salt water lobster through evoluionary means.
